Church Covenant

Covenant of the Church

The covenant expresses the solemn commitment made in the presence of God and this Assembly by those who have repented, professed faith in Jesus Christ, and been baptized in water by immersion.

As we have been led by the Spirit of God to repent of our sins, and on the profession of our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, having been baptized in water by immersion in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, we do now in the presence of God and this Assembly most solemnly enter into this covenant.

Therefore, do we engage to strive for the advancement of the Church of God in knowledge and love, holiness and comfort, until we all come into the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, and unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.

Entered Upon Repentance, profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and baptism in water by immersion in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
Assembly Commitment Members covenant together for the advancement of the Church in knowledge, love, holiness, comfort, and unity of the faith.
Shared Aim The language of the covenant points the Church toward spiritual maturity and the fullness of Christ, not only individual devotion.
