2023 OUTSTANDING STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT
SCHOLARSHIP AWARD RECIPIENTS

The Church of God of the Union Assembly would like to recognize those students who have achieved distinguished honors in their education. We would love to introduce these exceptional individuals, and honor them for their hard work and dedication to service in the classroom and beyond.

Jenna Leigh Gentry

A 2023 graduate of Southeast Whitfield H.S. in Dalton, GA. She graduated with Honors with Distinction. An unweighted 4.0 GPA, a member of the National Honors Society, Beta Club, and named Most Outstanding Senior. She had over 150 hours of community service in her H.S. career. While at the same time being a Dual Enrollment scholar. And made the college Dean’s List her H.S. senior year. And by the way, had PERFECT attendance FOR 13 YEARS from kindergarten through H.S. Jenna is the daughter of Bruce and Angela Gentry, granddaughter of Ollen Gentry and Marvin and Diane Bell. She attends the Church of God of the Union Assembly in Dalton, GA       

Brooklyn Smith

A 2023 graduate of West Blocton H.S. in W. Blocton, AL., Brooklyn earned a full academic scholarship to Shelton State Community College. She is the daughter of Emily and Jason Smith, the granddaughter of David Smith and Mary Marshel. Brooklyn attends the Church of God of the Union Assembly in Alabaster, AL.

Blaine Posey

Blaine graduated with honors from Oakman High School in Oakman, AL. He was class valedictorian, was in the Beta Club, Science Club, and FCCLA. His proud parents are Mark and Becky Posey. He attends the Church of God of the Union Assembly in Jasper, AL.

Hannah Flatford

A 2023 graduate of Lakeway Christian Academy in White Pine, TN. Hannah graduated Summa Cum Laude with a weighted GPA of 4.10. A National Honor Society graduate with over 100 hours of community service in her H.S. career. Hannah did all this while working a part time job since the age of 16. She is the daughter of Chris and Kristy Flatford, and the granddaughter of Judy Kincaid, Patricia & J.D. Chapman, and Ermil Flatford. Brook attends the Church of God of the Union Assembly in Claxton, TN.

Brook Taylor

A 2023 graduate of Coahulla Creek H.S., she is a graduate of Honors with Distinction, a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club, French Honors Society, and Marching Band Section Leader. The daughter of Jeanette Tankersly and granddaughter of Ben and Judy Daniel. Brook attends the Church of God of the Union Assembly in Dalton GA.
